YEARS WATER SKIING
13 years. My first time skiing was at the beach behind my dad’s first boat: a 2000 Ski Nautique 196!
WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE THING TO DO WHEN YOU’RE NOT WATER SKIING?
Mainly travel, hit the cable park and workout.
NAME YOUR FAVORITE PLACE WATER SKIING HAS TAKEN YOU?
One of my favorite competitions was the Moomba Masters in Australia! I also enjoyed competing in Japan at the University Worlds Championship. I am hoping one day I will get to go back!
TELL US AN INTERESTING FACT THAT MOST PEOPLE DON’T KNOW ABOUT YOU.
My Dad was an exceptional jumper. When he met my Mom, he moved to the Dominican Republic where I was born and raised. His dream was always to have his own waterski school, so one day be flew to Miami to purchase his first waterski boat. When he was flying back home he saw a piece of land he wanted to build the lake on! When he dug his dream lake, that is when my waterskiing career took off! All thanks to my dad!
WHAT ARE THE TOP THREE MOST PLAYED SONGS IN YOUR PLAYLIST?
Any songs from Bad Bunny, 21 Savage or Travis Scott.
DO YOU HAVE A PRE-RUN ROUTINE YOU DO BEFORE CONTESTS FOR GOOD LUCK?
I usually warmup and stretch a lot before I ski to be prepared to hit the water! I like to visualize all my slalom passes and try to get my PB every set. I believe if you visualize something and believe in it you will achieve it. And then right before I ski, I read a secret quote to remind me to believe in myself and to never give up.
WHAT HAS BEEN THE BIGGEST ACCOMPLISHMENT OF YOUR CAREER?
Being able to take the Junior World Record from my childhood idol, Chris Parrish. When I broke it, it was the first time in 18 years that someone had done so. When Chris Parrish broke it I wasn’t even born yet! But the biggest accomplishment for me was running 41-off at such a young age and being on the short list of people to have done that.
IF YOU COULD GIVE SOMEONE ONE PIECE OF ADVICE; WHAT WOULD IT BE?
If you can see it, and if you believe it, it will happen.
