El Salvador - Nautique Cares
El Salvador school kids welcome Nautique team
Nautique employee handing out food in El Salvador
This past week many Nautique employees served in El Salvador. During the week we did construction work and served students at a rural school in the mountains, we served in a hospital and passed out food provided by Nautique to needy families. Our team worked really hard but at the same time it was an amazing experience of which we were all thrilled to play a part. And, just to add a little excitement, we were awoken one night with our beds shaking – we experienced an earthquake!
There were many impactful experiences for our team this week in El Salvador. Working with school children in the mountains was an opportunity to provide help and hope to some kids who we quickly grew to love. Distributing food to hundreds of hungry families and getting hugs from the people who were beyond grateful for the rice, beans, dried fruit and cooking oil we distributed was an opportunity to live out our values in a way that was really helping people who really needed the help. Our work in the hospital resulted in our team meeting a young lady who was literally waiting to die because she could not afford the operation she needed after losing her unborn baby. Our team paid for that operation and then saw her two days later. Her appreciation alone made the entire trip worthwhile.
There are many needs in El Salvador and it was encouraging to see our employees work so hard to help. Our team especially enjoyed the opportunity to meet and serve the people there. We hope that our effort made their lives a little easier.
Helping people around the world is not new to our Nautique team. Over the past seven years our team has traveled all over the globe serving those who need our help. During that time we have served in places like Mexico (twice), India, Uganda, Kenya, Ethiopia, Dominican Republic, Nicaragua, Guatemala and twice to the Apache reservation in Arizona. We have built homes, worked in schools, served in orphanages, distributed food and helped fight human trafficking. Our team is determined to use our resources to make the world a better place.
We also give back to our local community in various ways and each of the last two years we have funded and helped build homes in Central Florida with Habitat for Humanity.
All of this service is part of our Nautique Cares initiative and is a big part of our culture at Nautique. We want to build the world’s best boats but we also want to serve and help those who need it.
Besides serving in El Salvador our team is also currently involved in what may be our most important project to date. We have donated a Super Air Nautique G21 to an organization called As Our Own who is raffling off the boat. As Our Own is an amazing organization that is working with at risk girls in India. They truly are changing and saving lives. We strongly encourage you to make a donation to As Our Own and learn how you can win the Super Air Nautique G21. Please learn more by clicking here.
Our team is back in the USA for now but some of us will be back in the Dominican Republic this October with Nautique athletes and dealers.
