An Awesome Masters!
Enjoying the Masters with Team Nautique skiers Clementine Lucine and Whitney McClintock
Great crowds enjoying the Masters
What an incredible weekend at beautiful Callaway Gardens. The 50th Masters definitely lived up to the hype!
The crowds were great with both the beach and pavilion full and none of the fans left disappointed. The competition was incredible resulting in four first time Masters winners including Team Nautique athlete Whitney McClintock; Nautique skier K.C. Wilson also become a first time Junior Masters champion. K.C. rocked the crowd with his course record tying slalom run and everyone was abuzz about this young man’s incredible talent and bright future on the water. Even more importantly, K.C. is an incredible young man off the water too!
The excited on-site crowds were joined by a huge number of webcast viewers. Jeff Carroll (known world-wide as “Nautique Jeff”) and his team from Watersports Webcasts did an awesome job providing a great show for those who couldn’t attend the event personally. Thanks Jeff and team for a great effort!
Another highlight off the water was the Masters Chapel service; we had a great turnout with over 200 people in attendance. This annual Sunday morning service has become a highlight of the weekend for many of us and is led by Nautique athletes.
There are so many people to thank for their efforts and I hesitate to name anyone because I will be leaving out so many important contributors. However, I must mention what a great job our Tournament Director, Cyndi Benzel, did; she was incredible. Equally awesome jobs were done by Chief Judges Charlotte Melchers (enjoying the plaque Charlotte?) and Chris Bischoff. Finally, the Nautique Marketing team (Sarah, Brian, Terri, Brad and Art with help from Jen Abel) were amazing keeping the event running in a first class manner all week, as is expected at a Nautique event – team, you are incredible!!
Finally, I appreciated the opportunity this past weekend to meet the many, many Nautique fans who attended this incredible event. To those of you I met, all of us at Nautique appreciate your kind comments about how much the Nautique life means to you. Being part of the Nautique family is a great thing – and we appreciate you all!
Summer is here – Enjoy the Nautique life!
