The Air Nautique Wake Games this past weekend was a great kickoff for the 2010 season!
Over 200 competitors took to the water at OWC, here in Orlando, and you could tell they were enjoying the incredible wake behind both the Super Air Nautique 230 and the Super Air Nautique 210 – Byerly Icon Edition. The boats performed flawlessly which helped the competitors give their best performance for the competition.
The Air Nautique Wake Games is a unique contest that combines individual and team competition. At Nautique we love this one-of-a-kind event because not only do the pros get to ride but anyone who wants to sign up and show off their skills on the water. It is a four day celebration of wakeboarding and wakeskating!
One of the competitors was Gigi Meyer, daughter of Coach Urban Meyer of the Florida Gators. Gigi made the finals in her first event ever and the Nautique family could not be more proud of her accomplishment. Gigi trains behind her family’s Nautique and we are happy that she and her dad, Coach Meyer, are big Nautique fans. In fact, be on the lookout for a podcast coming soon to Nautiques.com with Gigi and Coach Meyer in their Nautique.
We are also excited that Nautique athlete Jimmy LaRiche and his team won the overall Air Nautique Wake Games championship. Additionally, three Nautique riders (Jimmy, JD Webb, and Bob Soven) were in the five man finals with both JD and Bob making the podium!
This past weekend demonstrated once again how much fun life can be with a Nautique. Summer is coming fast so if you would like to have your best summer ever, contact the Nautique dealer closest to you.
