This year marked the 55th Masters of Waterskiing and Wakeboarding and there is no doubt that something special was in the air at Robin Lake. With the best athletes and coaches in the world along with industry legends in attendance, the pavilion was buzzing with everyone saying the same thing; it’s never been this good. With perfect lake levels, perfect conditions, and the world’s best boats on the water, this was no doubt the best Masters Tournament ever.

“After traveling to over 35 Masters the 55th ranks at the top of our list. Course records were tried or broken all weekend long. The Nautique 200 allowed skiers to perform off the charts on the best conditions ever on Robins Lake.A big thank you to the entire Nautique Crew.  All the planning, organization and hard work made this one of our most memorable Masters. Looking forward to many more events.  Awesome Production! “- Jack and Lelani Travers and all the crew at Sunset Lakes

Kicking off the final rounds of competition on Sunday with an all Nautique Women’s Trick final, World Record holder Erika Lang set a new course record with a score of 9,530pts behind the Ski Nautique 200 for the win, ahead of teammate Natallia Berdnikava by an almost unheard margin of 10 points. Coming in second and third, Whitney McClintock and Clementine Lucine rounded out the field in one of the most electrifying trick finals of recent history to start the day.

“Winning Masters has always been a dream of mine and to be able to break the course record on my first Masters win is everything I could have asked for! Not only is the Nautique Masters the most prestigious waterski competition in the industry, it is pulled by the premier boat as well! Being able to go to a competition knowing that the boat is going to throw out solid and reliable wakes is incredible. So many records were broken at the Masters this year and I strongly believe that Nautique Boats is the reason for all of the fantastic skiing!”  – Erika Lang

In Men’s Slalom, Nautique skier and former Masters Champion Jon Travers had all eyes on him after earning the top seed spot coming out of semi’s skiing with the brute strength, determination, and recovery skills that he is known for. With the gold set at 3@41-off, Travers ran 39 with ease and finished second running  .5@43-off.

In Women’s Slalom Whitney McClintock took the win running 3.5@39 off which tied the course record set in the semi final round the day before. With three Masters titles in Tricks this is the first time she has won a Masters Slalom final.

“Every year I look forward to skiing on Robin Lake at the Masters. The only thing better than skiing there, is winning there! I have been working really hard this season to get back on top of the podium in 2014. I couldn’t be happier with my wins at both Moomba and U.S. Masters this year! I have such a calmness & confidence when I ski behind the Ski Nautique 200 and the conditions could not have been better this year at Callaway Gardens! The 55th Masters was the best yet!” – Whitney McClintock

Women’s Jump saw Australian star and Team Nautique skier Jacinta Carroll take the win with a jump of 182ft. Carroll seems impossible to beat with ten 1st place finishes in her last ten tournaments around the world. World Record holder and Nautique team skier Natallia Berdnikava set a new course record in semis with a jump of 184 feet and finished second in the final with a 178’ jump.

“It was an honor and a privilege to not only compete at the 55th Masters but to also go on and win! Thank you Nautique for producing an exceptional boat and  putting on such an amazing tournament. I love this event and I can’t wait for next year!” – Jacinta Carroll

Erika Lang Sets Two New World Records!

Posted by admin

Team Nautique skier Erika Lang set two pending world records behind the Ski Nautique 200 at the Crystal Point Record Tournament on May 10-11 in Gilbert, Arizona. Tricking over 10,000 points in all three rounds, Erika broke her own record of 10,180 points twice with scores of 10,360 points and 10,460 points.  Erika has been on fire this season and looks to take this momentum into the U.S. Masters on Memorial Day Weekend.

“Training behind the Ski Nautique 200 has definitely given me the edge that I need to continue to progress my skiing abilities, as well as continue to be able to set World Records. Being able to trick all three rounds over 10,000 points and setting two World Records was a huge feat and I couldn’t have done it behind any other boat than the Ski Nautique 200”. – Erika Lang
