With perfect conditions and the G-Series wakes cranking, the 2014 Nautique Wake Games saw impressive riding from over 212 competitors over four days at the Orlando Watersports Complex. Team Nautique athlete Meagan Ethell reclaimed her spot at the top of the podium this past weekend winning the Nautique Wake Games held at the Orlando Watersports Complex. Riding strong in the qualifying rounds Meagan squashed any doubt that she was back on her game both off the wake and on the rails charging every trick in her run. Sidelined last season with a knee injury, Meagan was more focused than ever and showed that all of her hard work had definitely paid off.

“Coming back at the Wake Games was awesome. The conditions were perfect and it doesn’t get any better than riding behind the G23. All the girls rode great and it felt awesome to get the win. I can’t wait for the next Nautique Wake Series stop. Thanks Nautique!” – Meagan Ethell

Also on the Pro Women’s podium was Nautique’s Raimi Merritt, who rode her way to a third place finish this weekend going absolutely HUGE off the G23 wake.

“The Wake Games was an awesome kick off to the Nautique Wake Series, and it was a great weekend with amazing riding from all divisions. I ended the weekend on the podium, which I‘m super stoked about! I want to thank Nautique for putting on such a great event and bringing everyone from all ages and levels of riding together to do what we all love! I’m looking forward to the next stop of the Nautique Wake Series!” – Raimi Merritt

In the Pro Men’s Division Team Nautique had standout runs from J.D. Webb who shocked the crowd with a fresh new run that looked to be a reinvention of himself and his unique style getting him into the semi finals. Also in the semis was Nautique athlete Noah Flegel in his first ever contest as a pro with stand up technical runs all weekend long. Making it through all of the rounds and into the finals, new team rider Josh Twelker put his west coast style on display in and exciting and competitive round that left him in 6th place.

The 2014 Nautique Wake Games was the first of four stops of the Nautique Wake series. Each Nautique Wake Series event will feature all amateur divisions, Pro Women, Jr. Pro Men, Pro Wakeskate and Pro Men.
