PLACE OF BIRTH Orlando, Florida
YEARS WATER SKIING Started skiing when I was two, first tournament at six, turned pro when I was 17!
WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE THING TO DO WHEN YOU’RE NOT WATER SKIING?
In last few years I have started golfing quite a bit. No, I’m not good but I love learning something new, nothing better than chilling on the course with some of your closes buddies while searching high and low for my golf ball that I sliced off into right field!
NAME YOUR FAVORITE PLACE WATER SKIING HAS TAKEN YOU?
Having the opportunity to travel all over the world for skiing has been amazing, I’ve competed on five different continents and loved every single one. But my favorite place wasn’t actually for my skiing, it was with my Nautique family when we traveled to El Salvador in 2014 to help build a school for underprivileged kids. An eye opening experience I will cherish forever!
TELL US AN INTERESTING FACT THAT MOST PEOPLE DON’T KNOW ABOUT YOU.
hmmm… How about the fact that I absolutely love singing karaoke! I am the worst singer you will ever hear, but who cares, it’s all about the performance!!! -In case you’re wondering, my all-time favorite song to sing is “Baby Got Back”
WHAT ARE THE TOP THREE MOST PLAYED SONGS IN YOUR PLAYLIST?
Neil Young –Old Man
Slightly Stoopid –Up On A Plane
The Dirty Heads –Dance All Night
DO YOU HAVE A PRE-RUN ROUTINE YOU DO BEFORE CONTESTS FOR GOOD LUCK?
I didn’t use to have one, I was young and I would just show up and ski. But now after several knee surgeries, a solid warm up is critical to a good performance. I also drink a RedBull right before my set, it gives you wings right?
WHAT HAS BEEN THE BIGGEST ACCOMPLISHMENT OF YOUR CAREER?
Winning the U.S. Open in 2014 … I was coming off two back to back knee surgeries and I had just lost my father in an accident that summer. Winning an event in my hometown of Orlando, winning in honor of my dad, in front on my family and friends, after sitting out 2012 and 2013 due to injury … it was something I will never ever forget.
IF YOU COULD GIVE SOMEONE ONE PIECE OF ADVICE; WHAT WOULD IT BE?
If it’s one thing I’ve learned in the last year it’s that life is very short, so while you are here on earth make the most of it. Do something you love every single day, whether it’s skiing, riding, surfing, golfing … whatever it may be, get off your butt and go do it!
