Birthday: September 15, 1984
Years wakeboarding: 16
What is your favorite thing to do when you’re not wakeboarding?
I try to golf and surf as often as possible, but these days I spend most of my time playing with my son William. I’m also a general sports
Name your favorite place wakeboarding has taken you?
I’ve been to some cool places, but the Philippines is brilliant. Aside from CWC being such a rad wake park, the area that it’s in, Cam Sur, is incredibly beautiful. Looking for excuses to get back there at the moment!
Tell us an interesting fact that most people don’t know about you?
I play cricket in Florida.
What are the top three most played songs in your playlist?
Hells Bells - ACDC
No Diggity - Blackstreet
Sucker Punch - Kingswood
Do you have a pre-run routine you do before contests for good luck?
Not really. Maybe listen to some music to pump me up? I’m chilled out and relaxed when I freeride, so I try to have the same mindset at contests. I’m usually kicking it with the boys like I would be any other day. I’m not really into being over-competitive.
What has been the biggest accomplishment of your career?
A toss up between winning Worlds and winning the Tokyo Pro. It was the first time I’d ever had my son, William, at a contest and I managed to win it, so it was pretty special.
If you could give someone one piece of advice; what would it be?
I’m not really into dishing out advice to people. However, if I was going to give William something I’ve seen and learned, I’d tell him to be himself and not let people label him.
