The largest wakeboard teamed event in the world kicks off the season in Orlando, FL, in April when the 2012 Nautique Wake Games hits the waters of the Orlando Watersports Complex. The four-day-long pro-am contest teams amateur wake athletes with the top professional riders in the sport.
Ten preselected team captains will host a live draft to field a team with a mix of male and female, pro and amateur riders. Each athlete will compete in their respective division, which is separated by age and skill level, while contributing points toward a team score based on their individual placement in that division. All 21 divisions will crown a winner, and the team with the highest total score will take home the team title.
The Nautique Wake Games will host qualifying rounds during its first two days of action, before the 10 captains draft their teams on Friday evening. Teams will begin accumulating points on Saturday and continue through Sunday, when a winning team will be determined.
