Two Big Weeks

Whitney McClintock on podium at Worlds.

Worlds crowd.

The Water Ski World Championships were held last week in Calgary, Alberta and once again our Ski Nautique wowed both the athletes and the crowds with an awesome wake and high performance capabilities that you can only find behind a Nautique. There is only one boat good enough to be the exclusive boat of the World Championships and we were happy to provide it for this incredible event.

It is no coincidence that three big winners at the world championships, Whitney McClintock, Clementine Lucine and Jaret Llewellyn, are all Team Nautique athletes and all train behind a Ski Nautique. Once again it proves that to get a real edge against the competition it pays to ski behind the world’s best ski boat. (By the way, congratulations Whitney on ESPNpicking up your big win and showing it repeatedly as part of their daily sports highlights; I saw it three times just in an hour I spent at the gym sweating it out on an elliptical machine!)

Of course the really big story of the Worlds was the all-new and revolutionary Ski Nautique 200. Andy Mapple had the boat at the Worlds all week and people were amazed by the boat’s incredible performance, wake and styling. There has admittedly been a lot of hype about this boat and expectations were really high, but those who had the opportunity to see the Ski Nautique 200 in Calgary were not disappointed.

All attention now turns to the US Nationals this week in West Palm Beach, Florida (my home town). We will have the all-new Ski Nautique 200 at this event all week and those attending will have the opportunity to experience the boat for themselves. There will be a lot of people at this event; so if you are one of them, we encourage you to stop by the Nautique booth to learn about this revolutionary ski boat.

Of course the really exciting part of the Nationals week will be Friday night when Nautique hosts the Big Dawg finals under the lights. This will be a phenomenal event with lighted buoys but most importantly, it will be the first event pulled by the new Ski Nautique 200. You still have time; plan to join us Friday night for a very exciting event!

If you are not able to join us onsite this Friday night, make sure you tune in to our live webcast of the finals. You can check it out by clicking on the Big Dawg webcast link located on the Nautique homepage beginning this Friday night at 6 pm EST.

I will be joining the crowds at the Nationals in West Palm Beach this week on Thursday and Friday. I will be in our booth a lot and would love to have the opportunity to meet you, so please stop by and say hi. Of course I will also be there Friday night for the Big Dawg action!

These are two exciting weeks in the water ski world and the Nautique team is proud to play such an important role at these events. As I mentioned earlier, Nautique is the only ski boat right for pulling these important events; however, even if you are just a recreational skier it is still the perfect boat for you. Stop by your local Nautique dealer and drive one for yourself; you won’t be disappointed.

Enjoy the Nautique life!
