Habitat for Humanity - Nautique Cares!02/25/13   

We have an amazing group of employees at Nautique who really care about making the world better. Once again our team has demonstrated their commitment to others by working volunteer hours on Habitat for Humanity projects here in Orlando.

Last week on two separate days Nautique employees, Team Nautique athletes, and employees from Nautique’s sister company Orlando Watersports Complex (OWC) volunteered time at the Habitat for Humanity Stag Horn Villas project here in Central Florida.

Nautique athletes included Rhoni Barton-Bischoff, Emily Copeland-Durham, JD Webb, Raimi Merritt, Shaun Murray, Bob Soven, Mike Dowdy, Shawn Watson, Zack Worden and Danny Harf giving back to the community. They even let Shaun, Danny and Shawn measure and cut wood with the power saw, they did a great job!

“Cuttin wood, slingin hammers, smashin thumbs. All with friends for a great cause. Great way to spend a day,” commented Team Nautique rider Shaun Murray.

This is the same community where just last year Nautique funded a home which our employees helped build. What a wonderful time it was to see the new owner of this home and her children receive the keys; it was an exciting day!

We are excited this year to fund a second home, this time through OWC. OWC has only been part of the Correct Craft family a few months and they are already stepping up -OWC Cares!

Giving back is an important part of our culture here at Nautique, and now at OWC. Besides serving extensively here in Central Florida, over the past six years our team has traveled around the world serving different organizations who are trying to make the world better. This July we will be taking two groups of employees to the Dominican Republic to serve and this October we will be taking another group of employees to India to visit and serve orphanages we are happy to support.

I am truly honored to be surrounded by people who are not only committed to building the world’s best boats but who also want to use their talents to make the world better.

The world’s best ski boat; the world’s best wake boat; and a company that cares!
