Acquiring Two Service Centers - Streamlining Distribution

From time to time I am asked about Correct Craft’s distribution system and our use of regional Service Centers. I often tell people that the Service Centers have worked well for Correct Craft over the years as evidenced by our five straight J.D. Power awards and multiple CSI awards.

Our team is focused on doing everything we can to continually improve both our operations and the service we provide to Nautique dealers and customers. So, with that in mind, this week we announced plans to acquire two of the regional Service Centers that we do not currently own and streamline our distribution system. The two Service Centers we are acquiring are located in Angola, Indiana (Midwest Correct Craft) and Tyler, Texas (Southwest Correct Craft).

Midwest Correct Craft and Southwest Correct Craft were previously owned by Ken and Diane Meloon. Ken is the Chairman of our Board and also the grandson of Correct Craft’s founder, W.C. Meloon. Ken and Diane have done an incredible job for over 35 years managing their territories. As I visited dealers in the Midwest and Southwest, I was amazed at how much respect they have for both Ken and Diane. I too have really grown to respect both Ken and Diane and am very happy that Ken will be staying on as Correct Craft’s Chairman of the Board.

Over the weeks and months ahead we will be announcing more details on our plans. The most important factor driving changes at Correct Craft is our desire to provide even BETTER customer and dealer service. We will be using automation and the best practices from the various regions to improve what we do, but we will commit to not lose the personal touch or family feel for which we are known. It will be an exciting process.

So what does this mean for the Nautique family? It means that you can rest assured that no matter how many accolades we get we will still be looking for ways to improve. We have won the awards for customer service year after year; however, we are not satisfied – we want to get even better.
