Great crowds at the Nautique Wake Games

This past weekend the wake community came together for the 2013 Nautique Wake Games and it was one to remember.

This year’s competition was the best ever. The Super Air Nautique G23 kicked up massive wakes for the competitors. One after another they came up to me and shared how much they loved competing behind this amazing boat. Many competitors were able to perform new tricks and have their best ever competitive run behind the Super Air Nautique G23. One year after the G23 introduction, it has clearly become the leader in the wake boat market – there is not a close second.

One of the reasons our team loves this event so much is the fun family atmosphere it provides. The competitors range from young kids who are riding in their first tournament to pros who are competing for prize money. It is the kickoff of the competition season in the USA for both pros and amateurs and it is always a lot of fun.

This year we added a couple new twists to the Nautique Wake Games.

First, we added a Saturday night BBQ for the competitors and their families. This was definitely one of my favorite parts of the weekend; spending time with competitors and their families and hearing stories about how wakeboarding is keeping their families strong and together. That is really cool.

Secondly, as most people know, Orlando Watersport Complex (where the Nautique Wake Games is held) was purchased last year by Nautique’s parent company, Correct Craft. So we used that connection to add a first ever cable component to the Nautique Wake Games and the fans enjoyed watching the cable competition both Saturday and Sunday nights.

Finally, though there was not wakesurfing at this event the competitors and fans were all talking about the amazing patent pending Nautique Surf System (NSS). It seems like this new Nautique innovation is clearly taking the market by storm and people love it!

Overall it was an amazing weekend and so much fun to spend time with all the families that are part of the wake industry!

We have numerous events all summer and all over the world. However, Nautique’s next major event is the Masters which is held Memorial Day weekend at beautiful Callaway Gardens, just outside of Atlanta. We hope you will join us there!

The world’s best ski boat; the world’s best wake boat; and, a company that cares.

Enjoy the Nautique life!
