The Masters is the pinnacle of watersports events and again this year it lived up to its reputation as the “Who’s Who” of the watersports industry gathered at beautiful Callaway Gardens, just outside Atlanta, for another amazing weekend!
Friday the Juniors kicked off the action and despite some windy conditions the performances were outstanding. All the juniors performed excellently but a special congratulations to Dorien Llewellyn who seemed to win everything including a scholarship for his performance!
The weekend saw the pros on the water and it is always exciting to see the best of the best competing. The Masters is an invitation only event and only the very top athletes get to compete. The performances were outstanding including a new course slalom record. And, when you are in your 54th Masters, new course records are a big accomplishment!
Special congratulations to first time Masters champions Jacinta Carroll and Raimi Merrit. Both of these ladies train behind Nautique boats and it showed in their excellent performances. They will both soon be sporting new Masters champions rings and I could not be happier for them!
The Masters is the world’s most prestigious tournament which, of course, requires the world’s best boats. That is why Nautique has been the exclusive towboat of the Masters for decades. Once again this year it was fun to hear the athletes rave about the boats and tell me how it helps them achieve their best performances!
Finally, this year the Masters had a new feature with a wake surf demonstration by Tommy Czeschin. Everyone is excited about the new patent pending Nautique Surf System and Tommy gave them a great demonstration. Wake surfing has been taken to a new level with the Nautique Surf System and people worldwide are enjoying this incredible new innovation.
Every year the Masters is an incredible way to spend Memorial Day Weekend. Mark your calendars now for next year – it will be another great event!
The world’s best ski boat; the world’s best wake boat; and, a company that cares!
Enjoy the Nautique life!
