NASCAR Drivers Visit Nautique06/30/11   

At Nautique we have hundreds of people from all over the world come to Orlando each year to visit our world class factory and experience first-hand how we build our Nautique boats. In the past year we have been fortunate to be visited by an astronaut, the Korean Ambassador to the United States, various politicians, pro athletes, and now the 2011 Daytona 500 Champion.

Trevor Bayne, a NASCAR driver and new Nautique owner, stopped by this week to see our factory and spend time with the Nautique team. Trevor got a glimpse of his new Super Air Nautique 230 in the factory test lake. Also along for the tour was NASCAR driver Justin Allgaier. Justin expressed his approval for Trevor’s new ride. Nautique owners on Lake Norman should be on the lookout for the new member of the family.

Trevor and Justin are very down to earth guys who met with our product development team members and also spent time touring our factory. Trevor and Justin were also very gracious about taking the time to meet employees who were big fans, taking photographs and individually shaking each and every person’s hand. Our employees loved it and even got to see Trevor’s Daytona 500 championship ring.

“I was very impressed visiting the Nautique factory; I experienced first-hand the detail and passion that each person puts forth when building a Nautique,” commented Trevor. “Even though I didn’t get to drive my new Super Air Nautique 230 due to the weather, it was amazing to see it in person! It’s awesome; I love the Sublime Green and I can’t wait to take my first set behind it!”

Few of us will have the opportunity to drive in a NASCAR race but we all do have the opportunity to own a Nautique, the world’s most sought after wakeboard and waterski boat. It was great to see a couple of the world’s best athletes appreciating what our team does to build the highest quality boats you can buy.
