Good News from the Boat Shows01/27/09   

Those of you familiar with the boating industry know that January through March is Boat Show Season. Every weekend during these three months, all around the country, there are multiple boat shows and most of them have Nautique boats displayed by our local dealers.

I have had the chance to attend a couple of the boat shows so far this year, and get regular reports on the others and I am really excited about how Nautique has done in the shows. We have sold a lot of boats but, more importantly, the comments about our product from those attending the shows have been incredible. People love what they are seeing and are particularly excited to see our new 216V and Byerly Icon Edition 210.

There is no question that the global economy has impacted the boating industry but we are happy to report that people continue to want the high quality and performance of a Nautique. In fact we have seen significant market share increases the past few months and last month Nautique outsold any other towboat company, by a long shot. Boating buyers understand that in uncertain times they want the certainty they can only get by owning a Nautique.

Nautique owners also understand that when it comes to investing, there is no better investment than spending time with those you care about and that there is no better way to spend time with those you care about than on a Nautique. I know that has been the case with my family and friends.

Finally, I encourage you to visit your local boat show and see the new Nautique models. We know you will love what you see. I plan to be at the Dallas Boat Show January 30-31 for Buxton Marine’s 20th anniversary celebration and I will also be at the Miami Boat Show February 12 -13. If you happen to be at either of those boat shows please stop by the Nautique booth and say hi. I would love to meet you!
